FAQ
What are the conversion limits?
Select up to 20 files per batch, with a maximum of 20 MiB per file and 100 MiB total input. Each image must be at most 12 megapixels (12,000,000 pixels). Each file has a 30-second conversion timeout; this is a cutoff, not a promise that every supported file will finish. Conversion also depends on your browser and available memory.
Are my files uploaded, and does this work offline?
The converter processes selected image files locally in your browser without uploading them for conversion. Loading the site and any required decoder libraries can need a network connection. Local processing does not guarantee offline availability or eliminate every privacy risk associated with your browser, device, or the website.
Will the output preserve metadata and original quality?
Metadata such as EXIF, GPS, camera details, and source color profiles is not preserved. PNG stores the decoded output pixels with lossless compression, but decoding and color conversion can change the source representation; this is not an archival copy or an HDR fidelity guarantee. JPG is re-encoded with a quality setting of 0.92 and is lossy. Keep your originals when metadata or fidelity matters.
Can I convert a folder, including subfolders?
Use Choose folder, or drop a folder where your browser supports it. Subfolders are included, and files are filtered for the selected converter. The same batch limits apply; review the selected files and any warnings before converting. Results are individual downloads with names derived from their relative paths, rather than a recreated folder tree. Folder selection and dropping support vary by browser; Choose files is the fallback.
